Overview
Ceteris Creative collaborated closely with Marina to buid a new website and social media platform that would tell her story as an artist with truth and integrity, while showing her painting, sculpting and collage work as beautifully as if displayed in a gallery. The journey for the art lover/web browser would be akin to a gallery attendee - appreciating the sublety, themes, technical expertise, and the journey of Marina as an artist.
Marina Mason is an award-winning, Melbourne-based professional painter and sculptor. Having been consistently involved in solo and group exhibitions, Marina's practice has become more experimental, expanding from solely 2D work to sculpture and installation.

The Challenge
Marina's existing website was functional, but it did not show the true depth of her expertise as an artist. Ceteris Creative proposed a new design that would create a fuller, more subtle experience for browsers and gallery owners to appreciate the high quality of Marina's painting and sculpture artworks and exhibitions. A better synthesis of painting, sculpture and collage reveals how Marina works as a professional artist, and how she fuses these genres in her practice.
The content platform for Marina's artworks needed to integrate better to provide a strong journey for website portfolio browsers, as well as to show the art in a way that more directly reflects how gallery owners exibit, and how they show Marina's work that's suitable for each exhiition.

The Solution
We developed an integrated website content management and gallery/exhibit system to ensure content was scalable and would render with 100% consistency and clarity for all art genres, series, and exibits. We reproduced all of Marina's artworks as consistently-sized images with subtle tags showing name/materials/dimension. These images rendered perfectly on the webpages, galleries, profiles, and videos.

Marina's new website better articulates her story and development as an artist, with an 'About' page that brings together the elements of her art practice, her vision and philosophy, her education and training, and her practice through the use of video and scroller content. We added a 'Contact' page with interactive messaging, and the new site can also be configured to have an online art shop if required, e.g. for new gallery exhibitions. The new website also shows Marina's development as a regulary exhibited artist in key Melbourne galleries, while the social media strategy we developed (building a LinkedIn profile and YouTube channel) promotes Marina's art in a way that will engage with her existing audience as well as reaching new audiences.

Performance Results
Marina's new website portfolio was received with full support, acclaim, and a sense of relief that her art will be shown in a way that best reflects her art practice and philosphy. Importantly, the new website is fully configured for new exhibitions, series, comment and quotes, reviews, gallery openings and news, and browser questions, comments, and inquiries. The social media strategy developed for Marina is fully integrated accross Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube in a way that will suitably promote her artworks and exhibitions.
